Dermot O'Leary 'gives Oti Mabuse TV presenting tips'

Dermot O'Leary has been giving Oti Mabuse some tips about becoming a TV presenter.

The 'This Morning' host is said to have been helping the 'Strictly Come Dancing' pro dancer out ahead of her prime-time presenting debut on musical matchmaking show 'Romeo & Duet'.

A TV source said: "Oti and Dermot have struck up a great friendship.

"He’s always keen to help out aspiring presenters and has been given Oti some vital pointers. All of which have been greatly received."

Dermot's handy hints are said to have given Oti a "perfect boost" before she fronts 'Romeo & Duet'.

The source added to The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "It’s given her the perfect boost ahead of her debut hosting gig."

Just this week, Oti admitted it's "not for [her]" to say if she will return for the next series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

Asked if she would be "gutted" if she "didn't have time" for 'Strictly' this year, Oti replied: "Everybody keeps asking me. It's not for me to say.

"'Strictly' is such a big machine and no one is bigger than that show. To touch anything around 'Strictly' is such an honour and it will always be who I am. For everyone who's on it and part of it on and off screen, we all truly love it."

Earlier this month, Oti admitted she "can't wait to get started" on the musical matchmaking series, in which single love seekers will stand on a balcony as they are serenaded by potential love matches that they can hear, but cannot see.

Oti said: "I’m so excited to be part of 'Romeo & Duet'.

"It’s always been a dream of mine to host so this is a real pinch me moment, and it's a blessing for me to finally be able to share this news.

"I honestly can’t wait to get started! It’s about love with a little bit of a twist and showcase of talent, it’s fresh and fun, and I hope everyone’s going to love it as much as I do."
