Dermot O'Leary was the latest celebrity to face the 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Out Of Me Ear' segment on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway tonight (April 1) and it was definitely one of the best so far.
Dubbed the nicest man in showbiz, hosts Ant and Dec made the X Factor presenter show his less friendly side as he was tasked to go around Tesco… and basically go mad.
Starting off by grabbing some bananas, Ant and Dec tasked him with putting them up his sleeve and shaking some random shopper's hands.
As you do.
That was just the start of these particular antics though, as Ant and Dec then tasked Dermot with lifting a man's headphones to ask what he's listening to, trying to score a bite of his not-yet-bought sandwich and go around stealing items out of other shoppers' baskets.
And all of that was before he was given the microphone, with which he had to shout "bleep" every time he scanned an item at the self-service as well as provide a loud commentary on what he thought of the man who was looking at the pineapples.
"You know what they say about a man who likes pineapple," Ant and Dec told Dermot to say, before leaving him a bit stumped as to how to finish the sentence, eventually adding: "He likes…. The exotic things in life!"
Ant and Dec also found time to take the piss out of themselves by giving Dermot one of their National Television Awards to show off to customers all the while the X Factor host mumbled how he "couldn't stand them" and mocked their wins.
Arguably the best part of the skit was yet to come though, when Dermot was told to lay out pineapples on the shop floor like skittles and bowl a melon at them.
Oh, and then there was the part where he had to climb into a man's trolley, declaring "I'm so tired" and get him to take him over to cheeses, before holding up a cucumber like an X Factor mic to an employee and asking them to sing him a song.
His final task was to topple a pile of eggs and shout: "What show do I present…? The eggs factor!"
And like a trooper, he actually did it all. Oh Dermot, we do love thee.
Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway airs on ITV.
