Prepare to eat nothing but greasy fish suppers everyone, because Derry Girls (and the wee English fella) is back!

We've been dying to see the first footage from series 2 of the hit Northern Ireland-set comedy after it exploded onto screens last year, and clearly our hail Marys have been paying off, because Channel 4 has gifted us with the first trailer for series 2.

Soundtracked by some 1990s bops, the trailer sees Erin and the gang getting their eyeliner on (that's not gonna stop those gay rumours, James!), going out to party to 'Oops Upside Your Head' and wearing clothes that weren't even fashionable back in the day.

Elsewhere, Michelle is still trying to get laid, Sister Michael is still incredibly dry, Father Peter is still a babe and Clare is still frowning at everything.

Our two favourite moments, though, are when Erin's mammy calls Take That 'This and That', and when Erin tries to pass off the lyrics to the Home and Away theme song as her own writing. Honestly, this show just references all our favourite things.

Of course, with the backdrop of The Troubles and that gut-punch of the series one finale, we are fully expecting a tragic moment or two this series as well – and we can't wait for all of it.

Derry Girls returns to Channel 4 in March.
