Desmond Swayne appears to fall asleep as Ken Clarke speaks in EU debate
Desmond Swayne often sits behind Ken Clarke as his colleague speaks about Brexit and his desire to stay in the European Union or the single market.
While he often rests his head in his hand and sighs as Mr Clarke gives his view, today he appeared to fall asleep, or feign sleeping during the EU Withdrawal Bill debate.
Mr Clarke was speaking about the rights of EU citizens, and his Eurosceptic colleague appeared to find it less than riveting, as he leaned his head to the side, closed his eyes and appeared to nod off.
He then seemed to wake up as Mr Clarke slightly raised his voice, and he smiled and sat up slightly.
The Telegraph has contacted the MP for comment.

This is not the first time he has appeared bored by his colleague.
On the 13th December, he rested his head on his fist and looked unhappy as Ken Clarke spoke:
Not sure Tory Brexiteer Sir Desmond Swayne entirely enjoys listening to Ken Clarke talk about Brexit pic.twitter.com/5e07m9LY4m

Cracking new chapter of Desmond Swayne's quiet love affair with Ken Clarke in today's #EUWithdrawalBill debate pic.twitter.com/9146YdEq9e

He also did this back in November, grimacing as he listened to his colleague:
Has anyone ever seen Ken Clarke talking in the HoC without Desmond Swayne sitting behind him looking fed up? pic.twitter.com/w8zdqtsHX6

And in January last year, he was part of a double act, pulling faces behind Mr Clarke:
