Desperate search launched for hiker, 77, missing in Glencoe for 24 hours

A desperate search is underway to trace a 77-year-old hiker who is missing in Glencoe.

Ian Myles was reported missing after failing to return from a trip in the Highlands on Thursday, September 5.

The pensioner was last seen at around 9am that day and has not been seen or heard from since.

It is believed Ian was climbing Bidean Nam Bian.

Ian is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, with dark grey hair, a short dark greying beard and wears glasses.

Anyone who may have seen Ian, or who has any information on where he may be, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 3437 of 5 September, 2024.
