Details annnouced for ‘Beauty and the Beast’ panto at church

Rehearsals are in full swing for this year’s annual February half-term pantomime at a Burnley chuch.

Sion Pantomime Society's production of  ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has a cast and production team made up of members from the friends of the Sion Baptist Church.

The cast features returning Mark Lawless as Claude and Gordon Tattersall as the Town Crier, alongside Amy Tattersall as Pierre the Beasts long suffering servant.

Jess Parsons plays the devious Fairy Bovver Boots and Sarah Nutter attempts to keep her in check as the fairy Goody Two Shoes.

Carlos is played by Stephen Willoughby, who is supported by his comedy sidekick Chico played by young talent Bella Gent in her first principal role.

Abby Lawless and Eloise Clegg portray the loveable Dobbin the horse.

Marcia Turner will direct her third Sion show alongside long-term producer Craig Needham.

Sion also welcome a trio of new members to their production.

The roles of Beauty and the Beast are taken by Hayley Watson-Reid and Kevin Moore and Ryan Bradley will tread the Sion stage as the dame of the show.
