Detectives are hunting a sex pest cyclist who has carried out a string of assaults

Police are hunting a sordid cyclist who has sexually assaulted a string of women.

The sex pest launched his latest attack on a bike path in St Albans before riding off on Tuesday evening.

The man also grabbed a woman on the same stretch on Saturday, and police said seven assaults were reported in August.

A description of the culprit has been issued by police.

The man is described as black with dark hair, and was wearing a grey woolly hat, navy coat and dark trousers.

Detective Inspector Alexandra Warwick, of Hertfordshire Police, said: “Although this type of sexual assault is unusual, we have had a few reports.

“We suspect there may be more incidents that have not been reported.”

"Please be reassured that we are doing everything we can to find out who this man is.

"If you have been subject to a similar incident or think you may have seen him, please get in touch with us.”

Anyone who has witnessed the assaults, or with information about the incidents, is asked to phone police one 101.
