Detectives Launch Manhunt After Essex Murder

Police have launched a murder hunt after a man died from stab wounds he suffered when he was attacked in Essex.

The unnamed victim, aged 24, believed to be from the Southend area, was stabbed in the chest in Cressing Road, Braintree, at 11pm on Wednesday.

He died in Papworth Hospital, in Cambridgeshire, the following day.

A second man, also in his 20s, suffered facial injuries in the attack.

Detectives from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are searching for a 24-year-old man from Southend in connection with the incident.

Luke Eva is described as white, of medium build and around 5ft 10in tall.

Officers say he could be in the Southend or north London areas, and have urged him to hand himself in to the nearest police station.

They have warned the public not to approach him.

Police have arrested a 57-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, both from Braintree, as part of the investigation.
