Devil's Hour season 2 release date, cast, trailer: When does the drama return to Prime Video?


The Devil’s Hour is making a comeback for its second season but exactly when will the drama return?

The epic supernatural thriller will soon be debuting season two with actors Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine reuniting onscreen for the supernatural thriller.

This time around, social worker Lucy Chambers (played by Jessica Raine) will find herself in a different time loop investigating a horrific crime alongside killer Gideon Shepherd (Peter Capaldi).

It has been two years since Prime Video subscribers have seen The Devil’s Hour which first aired back in October 2022.

The wait is almost over though for the five-part second season which is set to come out in full on Friday, October 18, on Amazon Prime Video.

The Devil’s Hour season 2 cast

Once again heading up the cast is actress Jessica Raine as tired but devoted mum Lucy Chambers who is haunted by her newfound memories of previous lives.

Raine is best recognised for playing Jenny Lee in BBC’s Call The Midwife as well as Verity Lambert in the film An Adventure In Space And Time.

Some of her other most notable roles have been in Becoming Elizabeth, The Woman In Black, Fortitude and Baptiste.

Raine is joined by Scottish actor Peter Capaldi as Gideon Shepherd who dedicates his life to preventing tragic events from taking place.

Capaldi was behind foul-mouthed Malcolm Tucker in The Thick Of It and has since starred in Doctor Who as the Time Lord himself, as well as in Criminal Record, The Suicide Squad and Paddington 2.

They are joined by Indian Summers star Nikesh Patel as DI Ravi Dhillon, EastEnders’ Alex Ferns as DS Nick Holness, Goodness Gracious Me star Meera Syal as psychiatrist Dr Ruby Bennett and Top Boy’s Saffron Hocking as DS Sam Boyd.

The Devil’s Hour season 2 trailer

Yes, the trailer for The Devil’s Hour season two is now ready to watch and gives an insight into what’s to come.

The teaser begins with Capaldi’s Shepherd mysteriously saying: “Deja Vu makes you feel like you’ve experienced all of this before.

“You told me the worst thing that’s ever happened to you has stopped it.”

He then aggressively calls out: “Remember Lucy, remember!”, when she calmly replies: “I remember everything.”

This time around, Lucy and Gideon form an uneasy alliance in a bid to prevent a tragic incident taking place and putting a stop to a killer.

But Lucy finds herself torn between her different lives, especially working alongside her past-life husband DI Ravi Dhillon (Nikesh Patel).

Her son Isaac (Benjamin Chives) also struggles to live “with a reality that rejects his existence”.

Devil’s Hour season 2 premieres on Friday, October 18, on Amazon Prime Video.
