Devon funeral notices: Heartbreak as Torquay 'TV Man' dies

A heartbroken family has paid tribute to Torquay's 'TV Man' Peter Gayton who ran an electronics shop in the town for decades. Announcing his death, his family said he would be remembered for his love and kindness.

The tribute is among a wave of heartfelt messages about lost loved ones in this week's death and funeral notices. We publish the announcements every week, as is a tradition in local media. Last week, the family of Kerry Ann Thompson Hope said she would be "hard to forget" after she died at the age of 46.

The notices, along with acknowledgements and memoriams, are first published on funeral-notices.co.uk, which offers a permanent space to remember those who have died. People are able to add their own tributes, photos and donations, should they wish to do so.

My beautiful wife, our loving mum and beautiful nan. As life goes on without you nothing is the same, we have to hide our heartache when someone speaks your name, sad are the hearts that love you, silent are the tears that fall, living here without you is the hardest part of all, you did so much for us, your heart was kind and true and when we needed someone we could always count on you. The special years will not return when we are all together, but with the love in our hearts you walk with us forever, sleep tight our beautiful angel, sending all our love. Buddy, John, Dean, Jimmy, Emma, Toni and your beautiful grandkids. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
