Devon hour-by-hour weather forecast amid Met Office yellow warning

Devon is set for periods of heavy rain throughout the remainder of today (Thursday, September 26) and tomorrow morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning which is in place until 9am tomorrow (September 27).

The Exeter-based forecaster has predicted heavy showers and thunderstorms to develop across the county. It has warned of potential flooding and travel disruption during the course of the warning.

A weather map from the Met Office shows a band of rain sweeping across Devon from around 7pm this evening. The heaviest rain will then arrive between 3am and 4am tomorrow morning.

The map shows areas in mid-Devon and North Devon being hit with the heaviest rain. Both Okehampton and Barnstaple will see heavy downpours.

The rain will then eventually clear by around 8.30am. The rest of tomorrow is then expected to be dry with some occasional light showers in Devon.
