We present to you an early contender for dad of the year: the man who turns his young sons’ artwork into incredible cartoons.

Thomas Romain, an animator and artist, has attracted heaps of praise after taking the doodles from his two young boys and transforming them into impressive pictures, which he posts on social media.

Thomas, who is originally from France and now lives with his family in Tokyo, adds to the pictures, turning everyday scribbles of aliens and robots into professional concept art.

Now, his images have gone viral – with his 52,000 social media followers heaping praise on his devotion to his children’s happiness.

Thomas says that his boys have fallen in love with the way that their images comes to life – and explained that they regularly work as a team to develop the final drawings.

One image recently posted included the caption: ‘We hope you all have a nice, creative day!’

Responding to the photo, one user wrote: “These pictures always bring a smile to my face. It must be such a lovely process you all together.”

Another added: “How cool must this be for the boys. I’d of loved this as a kid!”
