Dexter: New Blood's Michael C Hall reacts to episode four's twist
Dexter: New Blood spoilers follow.
Dexter's revival series, Dexter: New Blood, is now four episodes in to its 10-episode run, and the latest instalment featured a big plot twist.
The episode begins with Dexter — or Jim, as he is now known — hearing that his son Harrison had stopped a school shooting. Examining the scene himself, he learns that his son actually attacked another student and made it look like he was a hero.
Does this mean that Harry has the dark passenger within him too? And if so, will Dexter stop him, or return to his own serial-killing ways and take his child under his wing?

Speaking to TVLine, star Michael C Hall teased that the latter is certainly possible.
"I think that possibility is a part of the fun and the richness of that relationship. There are opposing things that are happening simultaneously for Dexter when it comes to Harrison and the dark passenger," he said.
"On one hand, it’s Dexter’s deepest fear that his son has the dark passenger, and on the other hand it’s his deepest wish, which makes parenting tricky.
"As is always the case with Dexter, when presented with an either-or scenario — is it this, or is it that? — it’s usually both. He’s experiencing a sense of horror and a sense of relief, and a sense of a wish being fulfilled, and a sense of the forbidden. It’s all of these things."
Showrunner Clyde Phillips shared a little bit more on what's up with Harry, stating: "There’s a phenomenon called inherited trauma, and Dexter has it. He wonders if Harrison has it, too, or if he was too young to remember. And we’ll learn the truth of what that is."

He added: "Obviously, it’s the more entertaining truth. If Harrison had nothing and no memory, then we have no story... We don’t know if it’s a dark passenger, but there is a darkness in Harrison that will emerge. I’ll just leave it at that."
Dexter: New Blood airs on Showtime in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in the UK.
