Did Dani Dyer slam ex Sammy Kimmence as a 'major player' before rekindling their romance?

Dani Dyer appeared to suggest that she broke up with ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence because he was a “major player” who was “seeing loads of other girls behind [her] back” in her new book.

The 22-year-old was photographed kissing her former love interest over the weekend, shortly after her romance with fellow Love Island winner Jack Fincham came to an end.

In a passage from Dyer’s book What Would Dani Do, the reality star describes a previous relationship with an unnamed boyfriend who “charmed the pants off everyone he met” but would treat her like “the side dish in Nando’s”.

“[I] I started seeing someone I really fancied who charmed the pants off everyone he met,” she wrote. “But that was the problem! He was a liar and was seeing loads of other girls behind my back.

“He didn’t even make me his official girlfriend, which meant I didn’t feel I had much of a leg to stand on when it came to demanding where he was, so I ended up letting him walk all over me.”

Dyer said her ex wasn’t “controlling or malicious” – and suggested that they had parted on good terms “because despite everything [she] did like him” – but described him as “a major player.”

“He would whisk me off for lovely meals and take me on amazing dates and then not contact me again for a few days and go AWOL,” she said.

“It was like I was always the side dish in Nando’s. I was just the fried halloumi when all I wanted to be was the full chicken.”

The former Love Island contestant also revealed that her actor father Danny Dyer had advised her to break things off with the ex.

“I asked dad for advice on what to do because he knew what made me tick – and he told me, ‘He’s not for you, babe. He’s keeping you like his little secret, which means he doesn’t have to go public and can do what he wants,’” she wrote.

A source told The Sun that Dyer and stockbroker Kimmence “made no secret of being back together” over the weekend, when they were spotted together in Chelsea.

“Dani and Sammy were drinking and having a great time, and made no secret of being back together,” the insider told the paper.

“Dani couldn’t keep her hands off him and the feeling was clearly totally mutual – they kissed for ages before heading off as a group.”

The former couple are thought to have broken up before Dyer entered the Love Island villa last summer.

Fincham announced earlier this month that he and Dyer had split up, breaking the news to fans in an emotional Instagram statement.

“There is no easy way to say this and it isn’t going to be an easy time but me and Dani are not in a relationship anymore,” he wrote.

“We will always care a lot for each other and have love for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness.”

Last week, the former stationery salesman revealed that he still “fancies” his ex-girlfriend, but admitted that they were unlikely to get back together.

On Tuesday he liked a comment on Instagram from a fan which appeared to accuse Dyer of cheating on him with Kimmence.
