Doctor Who aired its latest episode 'Kerblam!' tonight (November 18) and fans couldn't help but wonder if it was satirising a certain online retailer.

The episode saw the Doctor and her companions arrive on a moon turned into a giant postal factory, occupied by automated, creepy-looking robots.

Naturally, The Doctor and co. soon realise that all is not as it seems at the postal company, with employees mysteriously going missing, including special guest Lee Mack.

But with the the employees working in such conditions, viewers couldn't help but think the episode was satirising Amazon and recent debate around its business model.

While the satire was popular with viewers, many were into the scary robots, too...

"'Kerblam!' is the kind of episode I've been wanting all series. As much as I LOVE the likes of Rosa/Demons of the Punjab – 'Kerblam!' is the first story that's really felt like a traditional Doctor Who story," one viewer wrote.

And for reasons we won't go into here to prevent spoilers, the episode also successfully managed to make bubblewrap terrifying...

Doctor Who series 11 will continue with 'The Witchfinders' on Sunday, November 24 at 6.30pm on BBC One. The show is also aired on BBC America in the US.
