Olly, who has previously said winning one of the coveted gold statuettes is his dream, is said to be gutted that his album ’24 Hours’ wasn’t recognised by the organisers.

A source told The Sun: “Olly is gutted. One of his main ambitions is to win a BRIT and he really thought he had done enough to be nominated.

“As soon as Olly and his team found out he had no nominations they made the decision to pull out.”

A spokesperson for Olls, has since confirmed the report as ‘true’.

Olly, who shot to fame on The X Factor, recently revealed that he’d love to win a BRIT.

He said: “I’d love to win a BRIT Award. That would be an amazing achievement and it’s what I work towards every year.

“I’ll keep working hard and one day hopefully I will win one.”

The busiest lady on TV, Emma Willis, will host the launch night live on ITV on Saturday.
