If you can't wait for more robots in disguise (no, don't worry, not the kind that Michael Bay specialises in), you'll be pleased to hear that one of Westworld's stars may have just revealed the show's return date (or at least month).

During what seems like an age since we left the bloodbath of season 1's finale, HBO has slowly been hyping up Westworld season 2.

As part of the long tease, Jeffrey Wright, who plays Bernard, recently posted some fan art on his Instagram with the caption, "3 days of filming left then we're back circling online in April."

Presumably realising his spoileriffic blunder, the star then edited his post to swap "April" for "Spring".

While there's no official confirmation of when the wild plains of Westworld will invite us back for more, April seems a realistic time for season 2.

Telling the tale of a robotic theme park gone wrong, show creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have been promising an ever bigger adventure as the series enters its sophomore year.

It may be all change as we enter Samurai World, but season 2 will also bring back Ben Barnes as the villainous Logan, while it has also been confirmed that Jimmi Simpson will reprise his role as a young version of Ed Harris's Man in Black.

Hoping to avoid those HBO leaks that plagued season 7 of Game of Thrones, the network has been keeping a tight lockdown on Westworld and has refused to give even its cast full copies of the scripts.

And with fans left as much in the dark as the park's doomed patrons, it means that everyone is that little big more excited for Westworld season 2.
