Dimitar Berbatov sends comical three-word message to Wayne Rooney after Man United reunion
Dimitar Berbatov has sent a message to Wayne Rooney after the pair played alongside each other once again for Manchester United Legends - at an appreciative Old Trafford - on Saturday afternoon.
Rooney netted a stunning free-kick at Old Trafford during the charity game which raised funds for the Manchester United Foundation. United drew 1-1 against Celtic Legends before the Scottish side won 5-4 on penalties.
It was a memorable afternoon in Manchester with several iconic names featuring alongside Rooney and Berbatov. Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick were just some of the other players to feature on Saturday afternoon for a team managed by ex-United captain Bryan Robson.

And Berbatov has now shared a picture of him alongside former teammate Rooney in the United dressing room. "The Odd Couple," he said in an Instagram post, which can be seen below.
The pair - or should that be odd couple - won countless major trophies during their time at United under Sir Alex Ferguson together. Berbatov left United to join Fulham in 2012, before Rooney departed to re-join Everton in 2017.
Speaking ahead of the match, Rooney told the club's official website: "It will be great to play there again, my last game was for Soccer Aid in 2021. The atmosphere was brilliant and I can't wait to see all the fans again."
Rooney continued: "I'm really looking forward to it. I have seen first-hand the great work that the foundation does through the programme funded from money raised at my testimonial game against Everton in 2016. The work they do in the local communities is vital, and it really does help a lot of young people.
"It's important that we continue to do what we can, when we can, to support the foundation and continue to put smiles on children's faces. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with my former team mates, who I have not seen for a while.
"It's for a great cause but, to be honest, the thing you miss the most when you stop playing is that dressing-room banter. I'm sure there will be plenty of that around this weekend!"
