Make dirty white socks 'look like new again' using three-ingredient cleaning method
There's nothing more satisfying than ripping open a fresh pack of white socks. But unfortunately, they never tend to stay pristine for very long.
Dirt from the floor, your shoes and general washing can cause your white socks to become grubby, grey and drab, and it seems like no amount of washing can restore them to their former glory.
However, one cleaning expert on social media has lifted the lid on how to make your dirty socks look 'like new again', and it only involves using three very simple and affordable products.

Cleaning and lifestyle influencer Chantel Mila, also known as @mama_mila on TikTok, is no stranger to sharing her handy home hacks online. She's built up a loyal following of more than 1.3 million on the video sharing app, with many people keen to try out her tips in their own homes.
And she has a foolproof method for banishing stains that you can use on all whites, not just socks, which will leave your wardrobe looking fresh and clean once more.
In the video's caption, she said: "This method is my go-to to revive dingy white clothes and make them look fresh and bright! You can use it on socks, t-shirts, towels and even linens!
All you need are three staple ingredients, and it's also very simple to do.
First up, fill your bath with hot water and toss in all of your grubby white clothes. Then, pour in a quarter cup of laundry powder to get rid of any grease and grime, followed by one tablespoon of dish soap and one tablespoon of stain remover.
Mila said: "Look at the colour of that water already," and indeed it was tinged with a grey hue from all the debris soaking off.
Then, all you need to do is allow the clothes to soak in the water for one hour, before putting them in the washing machine and cleaning as normal.
Afterwards, Chantel's white socks looked pristine once again, proving that this method was a very effective one.
Viewers were blown away by this hack, with one exclaiming: "Oooh my goodness I needed this!"
