Willow's Disney+ sequel series has found yet a new director after a short setback.
Now, The End of the F**king World and I Am Not Okay with This creator Jonathan Entwistle has stepped up to the task to direct the series, or at least the pilot episode that will get it off the ground.
"What an honor it is to be joining the LucasFilm family to direct the pilot of Willow," he tweeted.
In a statement issued to The Hollywood Reporter he added: "With its epic world of swords, sorcery and adventure, Willow captivated and influenced so many.
"I'm excited to be going on this journey and working with Jon and Wendy to create something that is both deeply rooted in that original film and also a fresh, funny and charming addition to the beloved story. To be able to play within the world so painstakingly crafted by Ron back in '88 is a dream come true for me."
Directed by Ron Howard and produced by George Lucas, the late '80s fantasy epic starred one-time Batman actor Val Kilmer and Star Wars actor, Tenable host and all-round legend Warwick Davis. The latter will reprise his titular tole for the series.
Production on the series is due to begin within the next few months in Wales.
