If you're an avid Disney parks goer, you probably know the company's rules surrounding costumes. While it's totally cool (and encouraged!) for kids to dress up like their favorite characters, adults are not allowed to wear costumes as to keep the magic alive when you see the actual characters floating around the park. This is how things like Disneybounding got so popular. But as I'm sure people keeping reminding you, we live in unprecedented times and so, for the first time, the park is tweaking its rules.

Disney parkgoers of all ages will be permitted to wear costumes during Magic Kingdom Park regular operating hours from September 15 to October 31. While people have been allowed to wear costumes to special events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, this is the first time costumes have been permitted for adults during park hours.

Disney does have a few caveats thought: Costume masks are not permitted for adults as only children younger than 14 years old are permitted to wear them. Of course, all guests will still be required to wear approved face coverings during their visit, so get yourself a festive face covering ASAP.

There are also guidelines in place preventing you from wearing anything featuring obscene language or graphics or showing "excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment." When in doubt, check out Disney's full costume guidelines here before you go. Now all that's left to do is dream up your costume. No, you cannot be the rooster from Moana, I already called it!!!!!!
