Disruptions to Cambs trains due to planned signal works
Train passengers travelling through Cambridgeshire are being warned of disruption later this month. It follows as digital signal testing will be taking place as part of the East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP).
The project involves state of the art digital signalling being installed on the East Coast Main Line, replacing the traditional ones from the 1970's. It is hoped that this will make services more reliable, increase train capacity and reduce carbon emissions.
The works are scheduled to take place over the weekend of November 30 and December 1. There will be a major impact on customers, with some trains not running and others having reduced services.
