CBC, the sealers had to abandon their ship, the Northern Provider, after 25-foot waves and strong winds left the vessel impossible to control.
“We were in danger. The boat – we didn’t know if she was going to capsize or not … [We were] sliding around on board … it was pretty rocky,” skipper Brian Anstey told CBC.
