District Line delays: London tube commuters stranded for up to 40 minutes after person taken ill on a train
Commuters travelling on the District Line faced severe delays on Friday due to signal failures and a passenger being taken ill.
Passengers travelling between Earls Court and Wimbledon were warned of disruption to the service after a person became ill on a train at Ravenscourt Park.
And those using the line between Earls Court and Wimbledon endured minor disruption due to the signal failure.
Londoners bemoaned early-morning delays, posting about their annoyance on Twitter.

A spokesman for TFL apologised for the delay and said that the company is working hard to get services up and running as quickly and as smoothly as possible.
In the meantime tickets will be accepted on local buses and on South Western trains operating in the area.

TFL are offering refunds to those whose journey was severely affected by the delay.
