DJ Schak announces Newcastle line-up for 'ultimate Christmas rave'
Having upped the ante with raves everywhere from a Greggs store to St James' Park; Wet 'n' Wild water park and a South Shields corner shop, DJ Schak is now going all-out with plans for an upcoming Christmas party and has just revealed its December line-up.
The North Shields talent - whose trance track Yesterday, with Will Atkinson and Abi Flynn, was recently named 'hottest record' by BBC Radio 1's Dance's Danny Howard - will be hosting his Hometoon Christmas Special 2024 at NX Newcastle on December 20: the 'Black Eye Friday' date when it seems the whole city is out celebrating the festive season.
And, at Schak's party, fans are promised a dance music extravaganza which raises the game after his previous festive hit gig at The Gate last year. The Moving All Around (Jumpin') favourite has announced the line-up for what's billed as the 'ultimate Christmas rave' and it will include 20-year-old Cassö who is said to be one of the fastest-rising talents on the dance scene with his debut release, Prada, having created an international buzz with more than 150m streams and a top-five place in charts worldwide.

Others on the bill are Sunderland's MDDLTN - Jake Middleton - who specialises in techno and hard dance and made a debut at Creamfields festival this year plus fellow locals DJ-producers Thompa, Ricci Martin and George Kadar who will be adding a mix of house, techno and more to the dance floor.
Schak, whose non-stop 2024 has included dates in Los Angeles and Ibiza, said: "It's a massive honour to be able to put this show on in my home city, surrounded by some of the best DJs and producers Newcastle and the North East have to offer. Having Cassö - a rising legend - on the bill, alongside the local lads who are making big waves in the scene, makes this night truly special."
He added: "There's no better way to celebrate Christmas than a proper rave with my fellow Geordies and mates. The energy in the city is unmatched and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone - it’s going to be an unforgettable night of unity, love and a serious party.”
The night is set to play out as an all-sensory experience with immersive lighting and visuals and floor-shaking sound. Tickets for it are on sale now: see here.
