Jodie Whittaker's first series as the Doctor may still be some months away yet, but thankfully we'll have the launch of a new Doctor Who game to help keep us occupied while we wait.

Four years on from its popular Legacy predecessor, Doctor Who Infinity is officially returning to PC and mobile this spring with five different episodes, each featuring a story that's been crafted as a collaboration between Tiny Rebel Games and famous Doctor Who writers, artists and actors.

And kicking off its series of original, playable Doctor Who adventures is the ominously titled 'The Dalek Invasion of Time'.

Written by critically-acclaimed author George Mann, who's previously worked on several Doctor Who properties from audio books to comic books, 'The Dalek Invasion of Time' features the narration of Michelle Gomez and Ingrid Oliver, who reprise their series roles of Missy and Osgood respectively.

And, if that's another familiar voice you hear in the trailer, then you must be a Game of Thrones fan, as this first episode also stars Bella Ramsey as the voice of a new villain character, Freya.

Yes, Lyanna Mormont is now in Doctor Who. How's that for wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey?

Infinity picks up where Legacy left off with even more addictive puzzle gameplay and adventures, and each story-based adventure will have its own unique art and comic book style, as well as "next level" games.

For 'The Dalek Invasion', that artwork is by Mike Collins and has been coloured by Kris Carter, both of whom are known for their previous work on Doctor Who.

Doctor Who Infinity launches on PC and mobile this spring, and is being published and developed by Tiny Rebel Games, who are also the creators of the award-winning Legacy mobile game, in collaboration with Seed Studio.

Meanwhile, Doctor Who will be back on our screens later this year when series 11 premieres on BBC One in Autumn 2018.
