Doctor Who shares how Susan Twist will returnJames Pardon - BBC

Doctor Who guest star Susan Twist has lined up a return to the Whoniverse.

Susan appeared throughout Ncuti Gatwa's first season as echoes of the character Susan Triad throughout space and time.

Now, Twist will be narrating one of two new Doctor Who audiobooks releasing this autumn. In Doctor Who: On Ghost Beach, Twist will read a puzzling story about The Doctor and Ruby arriving at Seaham Chemical Beach in 1958.

This once-thriving industrial town is now haunted by visions of the Ghost Beach in the Sea of Despair on the planet Farfrom. Soon, The Doctor and Ruby begin to forget who they are as they start experiencing the same visions as the locals.

Doctor Who: On Ghost Beach — which has been written by Niel Bushnell — will release on November 7, but is available to pre-order for £8.42 on Amazon.

The BBC's second new audiobook Sting of the Sasquatch, from author Darren Jones, will release on the same date and is available for pre-order on Amazon for £8.42 as well.

Genesis Lynea, who played UNIT turncoat Harriet Arbinger (aka The Harbinger) in the most recent Doctor Who series narrates this second story, where The Doctor and Ruby are pursued by an ape-like creature in an American national park.

The TARDIS team are trapped in the middle of a dispute between sasquatch hunters and a park ranger before the creature abducts Ruby. The Doctor is thrust into a race against time (and space) to save his companion.

The BBC previously announced three other 15th Doctor books coming this autumn, including new stories by Neil Gaiman, Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé (Ace of Spades) and Charlie Higson (Young Bond).

Doctor Who airs on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Classic episodes of Doctor Who are available on BBC iPlayer in the UK.
