Doctor Who trailer debuts at San Diego Comic-Con, features Jodie Whittaker and the new gang
Midway through the World Cup final, the first proper tease for the upcoming series of Doctor Who was released, featuring a brief glimpse of Jodie Whittaker as the Timelord.
Thankfully, that was all warm up for this year's San Diego Comic Con, where BBC America showcased an all-new trailer, now available online.
Watch the trailer below, which features Ryan (played by Hollywoaks alumni Tosin Cole) Yasmin (Mandip Gill, also of Hollyoaks fame), and Bradley Walsh (yes, The Chase's Bradley Walsh) helping the Doctor.

The three new companions, who will no doubt make for a crowded Tardis, all not to be called "companions". As Whittaker's Doctor says in the exciting trailer (which reveals much more than the World Cup tease), they're "best friends" rather than companions.
So, what else did we learn at Comic-Con? First, we had confirmation that there will be a Christmas special, as detailed by new shorunner Chris Chibnall. There was also a look at the Doctor's new Sonic Screwdriver and many, many new pictures. See below.
