How to get Doctor Who's latest classic boxset with Sylvester McCoy
Doctor Who's latest classic series boxset features Sylvester McCoy starring in season 25.
The BBC has remastered the show's 1988 episodes, which follow McCoy's Seventh Doctor travelling in the TARDIS alongside his companion Ace (Sophie Aldred).
Doctor Who: The Collection Season 25 doesn't officially release until October 21, 2024, but you can already preorder the limited edition Blu-ray from various retailers.
Amazon's Pre-Order Price Guarantee is the cheapest right now, with the boxset available for pre-order for £45.82 (SAVE 17%).
Other pre-order options include Zavvi offering Doctor Who: The Collection Season 25 for £54.99 (which is currently sold out but should restock), or HMV's RRP listing for the same price.

All four serials from season 25 are included in this boxset. They've been given Special Edition upgrades with enhanced special effects and previously-unseen footage.
The hours of bonus features include the original feature-length VHS cut of 'Silver Nemesis', where The Doctor and Ace end up in the middle of a battle between the Cybermen, a neo-Nazi terrorist group, and the time traveller Lady Peinforte.
There are multiple documentaries with behind-the-scenes details about the production of season 25, along with feature-length audio commentaries with the cast and crew.
Season 25 was the penultimate run of episodes from Doctor Who's original era, featuring the all-time great serial 'Remembrance of the Daleks'. This story references the origins of Doctor Who by having the Daleks invade Earth in 1963.
'The Happiness Patrol' remains a lightning rod of controversy among fans of the show, with some praising it as a camp classic and others despising its monster made of sweets.

In the season-ender 'The Greatest Show in the Galaxy', The Doctor and Ace travel to the Psychic Circus, where an evil clown is keeping the performers hostage.
Other highlights include the return of Terry Molloy as Davros in 'Remembrance', plus a very unusual cameo from K9 actor John Leeson as one of the voices of the Daleks.
Doctor Who airs on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Classic episodes of Doctor Who are available on BBC iPlayer in the UK.
