Doctor Who star Matt Smith sizzles in the newest official look at Shaun of the Dead and Baby Driver director Edgar Wright's next movie.

The upcoming horror Last Night in Soho is shrouded in mystery, with the only confirmed details being that Smith will star opposite The New Mutants' Anya Taylor-Joy and Jojo Rabbit's Thomasin McKenzie.

Unfortunately, fans will be waiting even longer to find out what it's all about. Wright shared a new look at the film on Tuesday (May 26), showing off Smith and Taylor-Joy's romantic chemistry.

The director also had some bad news – Last Night in Soho is being moved from its September 25, 2020 cinema release date to April 23, 2021. Have a look at the photo below:

"Haunted by someone else's past, but we'll see you in the future," the director teased. "It's true, #LastNightInSoho is not quite finished yet due to Covid 19. But, I'm excited for you all to experience it, at a big screen near you, on April 23, 2021."

So while Last Night in Soho isn't quite finished yet, Edgar Wright's fans can be assured that it's on the way. One movie they probably shouldn't expect is a Hot Fuzz sequel with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Pegg revealed to Movieweb earlier this month that a follow-up to the comedy likely won't ever happen, even though "those kind of buddy-cop action movies often were sequelised".

"I don't know. Edgar and I, when we've done something, we want to move onto the next thing. All of those films, they have an arc and then they finish... We made Shaun of the Dead, and the sequel to that film is Hot Fuzz, and the sequel to Hot Fuzz is The World's End," he explained.

"They're a thematic trilogy rather than direct sequels. I'd love to play Nicholas Angel again, that was fun. I'm probably too old now."
