Here's one more name to add to the ever-expanding list of actors being put forward as the next star of Doctor Who.
Doctor Who writer Toby Whithouse has named Being Human actor Damien Molony as his top choice to replace the departing Peter Capaldi.
"Damien Molony, who was on Being Human, I've always thought he'd be terrific," Whithouse (who, of course, also created said supernatural series for BBC Three) told Digital Spy.
"He's a fantastic actor. My ideal choice would either be Damien or Chiwetel Ejiofor, who I think would be absolutely terrific."
Ejiofor has been linked to Doctor Who in the past, with the Oscar nominee believed to be the unidentified black actor once offered the part by show boss Steven Moffat.
Before we meet the next Doctor, we've got 13 more adventures to come for Capaldi's incarnation - with Whithouse saying "it's a real shame" that the actor will be departing the show this Christmas.
"I think that Peter's been absolutely incredible as the Doctor. I've got to know him quite well over the time I've been working on the show and he's just the loveliest guy you'll ever meet.
"I think it's a real shame, but I completely understand it - he came on to the show to work with Steven. But he's an amazing ambassador for the show - because this is something that's been so important to him for all of his life, he understands the importance of the show and just how treasured and loved it is."
Doctor Who returns to BBC One on Saturday, April 15.
