The 2017-18 Premier League season is only just over, but clubs are busy planning for the new campaign ahead of them.

With the World Cup placing added pressure on teams to find and sign talent amid the biggest tournament on earth, this summer is shaping up to be a huge one across the English top flight.

Champions Manchester City are already planning to cement their domination, and Pep Guardiola's recent contract extension will only add to the allure of joining the title winners before the 2018-19 season starts.

Despite finishing second in the table, Jose Mourinho has a big task as he plans to rebuild his Manchester United squad, while Tottenham face a tough task between finding value for money amid their move to their new stadium.

Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp will be backed in the market in order to launch a title challenge, although the budget of the next Arsenal manager is less certain after missing out on Champions League football yet again.

Crystal Palace face similar questions of whether to stick or twist after a fine finish following a flirtation with relegation, while West Ham also need a rejig with a new boss after a chaotic campaign.

With plenty of drama ahead, here's what you need to know for the upcoming transfer window...

When does the transfer window open?

The Premier League transfer window opens on May 17 (at 0:01) for domestic deals and June 8 for international transfers.

When does the transfer window close?

Following an agreement between the clubs, the Premier League window will close on the Thursday before the start of the new season at 5pm BST - almost certain to be August 9.

Deals can still be done before these dates, but will not be officially finalised until the dates and times stated.

Premier League teams can still sell players abroad once the domestic window is closed.
