Transfer window deadline day 2021: When does the window close?

Premier League clubs have not been messing around when it comes to strengthening their squads ahead of the new season.

Chelsea are set to smash their transfer record to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club, Manchester United have parted with around £110m to sign Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane and Manchester City spent £110m to sign Jack Grealish.

Arsenal parted with £50m to bring Ben White in from Brighton while Tottenham will spend a similar amount on Cristian Romero.

But the spending is expected to continue, and clubs are running out of time to spend.

When does the transfer window close?

The Premier League transfer window closes on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 11pm BST.

When do European transfer windows close?

La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga clubs also have until August 31 to finalise their deals.

When does the January transfer window open and close?

Clubs will be able to buy and sell players again between January 1, 2022 and January 31, 2022.
