A dog bit a woman on the thigh as she walked past it on a London train and police have now released an image in their hunt for the owner. British Transport Police (BTP) released two photos of a man they need to speak to in connection with the incident.

The woman was attacked as she walked past the dog which was lying on the floor by the carriage doors just after 6pm on August 9 on a train between Bromley South and Chatham. The bite was so bad that it punctured the woman's skin, causing bleeding and bruising.

BTP officers believe the man in the photos could have information vital to their investigation. If you recognise him or have any information, text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 638 of 9 August. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
