Dog Faces Fear of Cerberus Halloween Decoration

A 2.5-year-old pit bull overcame his fear of a 3-headed dog Halloween decoration while on a walk in River Grove, Illinois, video posted to TikTok on October 15 shows.

Janelle Barnett recorded these clips of her dog, Tobi Tate, a day apart and told Storyful there are a lot of decorations in the area, and that they pass this particular home several times a day.

“He wasn’t scared until Cerberus was put out on display,” she said. “The house across the street from this house has double the amount of decor, and he was never fazed.”

Barnett said last year this house had decorated just about the same with the addition of a few new props, including Cerberus.

“Tobi doesn’t startle that easy with decorations or props,” she said. “My husband and I are always looking for a realistic-looking spider or rat or cat, something to spook him out. He’s usually unfazed by all of it, so to see him startled was so precious to me.”

The first clip shows Tobi cautiously walking by, being sure to keep a safe distance between him and Cerberus. In the second clip, which was recorded the following day, he can be seen confidently walking by, while keeping an eye on the spooky prop. Credit: Janelle Barnett via Storyful
