Dog and Owner, Separated in Bucha Violence, Reunited in Kyiv

A dog has been joyfully reunited with its owner after the pair were separated during the violence in Bucha.

During the recapture of Bucha, volunteers with the Kastus Kalinouski Battalion (a unit of Belarusians fighting with Ukraine) found a stray dog, Nessie. They were able to reunite the dog with its owner, they said, leading to a joyful moment in the carpark of a supermarket in Kyiv.

In its statement, the battalion said: “As long as some treat people like animals, we are fighting for the lives of not only humans but every animal!” Credit: Kastus Kalinouski Battalion via Storyful
