Dog The Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman is to be cremated in keeping with her last wishes.

The wife of reality TV star Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman has died aged 51 after fighting a lengthy battle with throat and lung cancer.

According to US entertainment blog The Blast, Beth had made it clear she wanted to be cremated after her death and her family intend to honour her wishes as they make preparations for her memorial service.

Her daughter Bonnie Chapman has paid an emotional tribute to her mother on social media and encouraged fans who wish to pay their own respects.

She wrote on Twitter: “Love you forever mom. You’ve got a halo now.

“I’ll never forget you mama. You were strong for everyone and you taught me it’s okay to let go.”

Dog announced the news of his wife’s death on Twitter, saying she had “hiked the stairway to heaven.”

Beth was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Honolulu, Hawaii on Saturday and placed in a medically-induced coma.

Dog said in statement on Saturday that he and his family “humbly ask everyone to please pray for Beth."

The family also sent their "sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth’s battle with cancer.”

Beth was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017, which she later beat. Sadly, her illness returned again last year and she underwent emergency surgery in November 2018 to remove a tumour from her throat.

In April, she was reportedly hospitalised after having difficulty breathing, and was “resting at home” after the incident.

The Chapman family are known for their bounty hunting and bail bonds business which features on hit A&E show Dog The Bounty Hunter.
