Dolphins Swims Past Delighted Beachgoers in Kingscliff, New South Wales

A dolphin was spotted swimming past beachgoers in Kingscliff, New South Wales, on January 4, as seen in this video recorded by Genevieve Faulkner.

Faulkner told The Courier-Mail, “It was amazing, it was quite crowded yet this dolphin swam up the river with the tide and then turned around and swam out again.”

Tweed Shire Councillor James Owen told The Courier-Mail that marine animals such as dolphins frequent the area in order “to catch fish.”

“People are generally aware and are respectful of marine life – particularly in this community,” Owen said. Credit: Genevieve Faulkner via Storyful
