Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to be the subject of speculation on transfer deadline day. The striker has been linked with a move away from Everton, and his contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign.

Newcastle United were strong suitors for the England international striker before a deal collapsed. While Everton have offered an extension to Calvert-Lewin, as of yet any agreement has not been signed.

However, as we sit here on transfer deadline day, it looks as though the England international will remain at Everton. But with the latest developments in mind, we have rounded up all the latest information Blues supporters need to know.

Everton contract latest

As reported by the ECHO back in May, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been offered a new contract by Everton as the club looks to secure the future of the England international. However, the forward is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.

Calvert-Lewin's current deal with the Goodison Park outfit is set to expire in June 2025. The forward joined the Blues from Sheffield United in 2016.

Chelsea 'interest'

Paul Joyce of The Times reported on Friday morning that there has been interest from Chelsea for Calvert-Lewin. The report went on to say that the forward is valued at around £25million by Everton despite entering the final year of his contract.

The report also said that a proposal was discussed for Everton to take Stamford Bridge striker David Datro Fofana, who spent time on loan at Burnley last season. However, it is claimed that the West London club values Calvert-Lewin at £10m, rising to £12.5m.

Calvert-Lewin was also one of a number of forwards under consideration by Manchester United. The ECHO understands that while the forward was one of a number of options being considered by the Old Trafford club, another new centre-forward was not United’s priority heading into the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

Sean Dyche stance

When asked if new offers had been received for Calvert-Lewin on Thursday, Sean Dyche said: "No, we're just carrying on as we always have done with Dom and all the other players, trying to stay open with our dialogue, that's it."
