Dominic West has jokingly lamented the success of his former co-stars Andrew Scott and Wendell Pierce — saying he has been “forgotten already”.

West starred with Pierce in crime series The Wire, and with Fleabag actor Scott in 2014 film Pride.

Speaking to Insider at the launch of Esquire Townhouse with watchmaker Breitling, West said: “Andrew Scott is in everything. He has forgotten me already. I was his husband in Pride.

“He never mentions me, he never writes, or never calls. I mean… good for him. I hope he does well.”

West’s breakthrough came in 2002, in HBO hit The Wire. He played Baltimore detective Jimmy McNulty, alongside Idris Elba and Pierce.

Pierce, who is also known for playing the father of Meghan Markle’s character Rachel in Suits, is set to star on the West End in Death Of A Salesman, opening next week.

West and Pierce were both at the launch of Esquire Townhouse, a three-day cultural and brand pop-up including workshops and talks, at Carlton House Terrace in Westminster.

Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson and model Daisy Lowe were also in attendance.

West added: “It is nice [to be reunited with Pierce]. He’s doing so well. The old bastard. He is in everything. Meghan Markle’s dad!

“I want to come and watch him in Death Of A Salesman. I want to persuade him to get me tickets to the opening night. And then he is staying in Mayfair, so I am hoping he will put me up afterwards.”

West also joked he was having a midlife crisis after turning 50 on Tuesday, adding: “I celebrated by looking at classic cars. Because when you are my age, you are a classic car.

"You want to buy your ‘Meno-Porsche’. So your midlife crisis, your menopause Porsche."
