Dominica Heavily Damaged by Hurricane Maria

Hurricane Maria swept over Dominica Monday night, September 18, knocking the island out of communication for hours. When communications returned, they told of devastation.

As of Wednesday morning, September 20, seven people were known to have been killed, according to Hartley Henry, an advisor to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerritt, and the island faced lack of water, electricity, and other scarceness.
