Prepare for hapless grooms and daft ideas as Don’t Tell The Bride is gearing up for its TV return.

The popular reality show, which followed grooms as they planned weddings with a tight budget – and no input from their fiancés, will air on E4.

“We love making Don’t Tell The Bride and we’re very pleased that it has a perfect new home on E4,” said Alan Cooke, CEO of Renegade Pictures, who make the programme.

Don't Tell The Bride gave grooms £14,000 and three-weeks to arrange their other halves big day, which more often than not turned out to be everything they didn't want on their wedding day.

The show quickly became a BBC 3 staple after launching in 2007. But after the channel switched to an online-only service the show was forced to relocate to BBC One.

But the love affair was short-lived as the show was moved to Sky One in summer 2016, for a 24 episode series.

The show has spawned some of the most cringeworthy moments from a wedding in a leisure centre swimming pool, an underground bunker, and a sports bar in Spain.

Others saw brides-to-be in tears as their future husbands failed to buy shoes, the right dress or book a hair and make-up artist, instead opting to splash the budget on an all-out stag do.

For those wanting to catch up on all the wackiest weddings, devout fans of the show will also be able to re-watch all their favourite episodes as All 4, Channel 4’s on demand service, will host every single episode of series one to five online.

Don't Tell the Bride airs on E4 later this year.
