Kim Kardashian has opened up about turning to surrogacy with her third child, saying the process has left her "frustrated".

The reality TV star, 37, opted to use a surrogate after doctors voiced concerns for her health should she fall pregnant again.

Kardashian, who already has daughter North, four, and son Saint, one, with husband Kanye West, said she has struggled to work out how "present" she should be in the surrogate’s life.

Speaking on Keeping Up with the Kardashians she said: “It’s frustrating to not be able to do it on your own. It’s a weird dynamic.

“Like, I go to all the doctor’s appointments and I try to be really present, but when you’re not carrying it yourself it is such a fine balance of how much you’re going to be in their lives.”

Despite her frustration at not being able to carry her own child, she said she completely trusts her surrogate, who she was in contact with for a year before finalising the surrogacy.

“Of course I want to know every last detail that’s going on with my baby and that’s super frustrating, but I really trust my surrogate and I don’t want to be that person that’s trying to control her every move,” she said.

“It’s going to be a long hard process but I’m going to take it one day at a time and hopefully it just gets easier.”

The latest episode saw the moment Kardashian revealed the unborn child’s gender.

Speaking on a video call to her sister Khloe Kardashian she said’: “We’re having a baby! A girl.”

Khloe is reportedly pregnant with her first child with boyfriend and NBA star Tristan Thompson while Kylie Jenner is said to be expecting her first child with Travis Scott.
