‘I don’t want to talk about it’: Ferne McCann shuts down Lorraine Kelly over Arthur Collins comment

Ferne McCann attempted to swerve questions about her ex Arthur Collins as Lorraine Kelly probed her on the “terrible” seven months she endured while pregnant with daughter Sunday.

The reality TV star was on the show to promote her new ITVBe show when talk turned to Collins, who was jailed after he threw acid over revellers in a crowded east London nightclub in April.

Speaking to the former TOWIE star, Kelly said: “You’ve had a terrible time though love, you really have it’s been awful.”

McCann replied: “It has been a tough time but obviously I can’t dwell on that anymore and I’m feeling positive now and I’m just looking forward to the future. I have Sunday.”

She then tried to shut down Kelly’s probing, saying she is no longer interested in discussing Collins.

She said: “It’s not what you plan, but how much of your life can you plan? I just had to go with it. I surrounded myself with friends and family. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”

It comes days after she told This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that her daughter was a “light at the end of the tunnel” after a “turbulent” seven months.

She said: “There was always light at the end of the tunnel. You know, I can’t lie, it has been a turbulent seven months for me but I had something to look forward to so that was my focus.

“I could always focus on the fact that I’m pregnant and I’m going to welcome Sunday into my life.”

McCann and Collins had an on-off romance before the attack for which he was convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and nine of actual bodily harm on November 13.

He was warned he could face life in jail when he is sentenced on December 19.
