Donald Glover postpones Childish Gambino tour over health fears

Donald Glover has postponed his North American Childish Gambino tour amid concerns for his physical health.

The 40-year-old actor and musician had been entertaining crowds while on the road as part of his farewell tour.

But now the star has revealed he has been forced to abort the remaining dates of his North American leg - which had been due to go on until 3 October.

Taking to social media on Monday, he announced, "Hey everyone. Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks."

Promising to reschedule his dates, he added, "Hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honoured for the upcoming dates in North America when they are rescheduled. Thanks for the privacy. Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love."

Earlier this year, the Mr & Mrs Smith actor stunned fans when he revealed he is retiring his Childish Gambino music persona and confirmed his The New World Tour would be his last.

He told the New York Times in July, "It really was just like, 'Oh, it's done.' It's not fulfilling. And I just felt like I didn't need to build in this way anymore."

The current tour is due to arrive in Europe on 31 October before moving on to Oceania on 28 January 2025 - with the original final date set for 11 February in Perth, Australia.
