Donald Trump has apparently been 'sentenced to death' by North Korea for insulting Kim Jong-un

Donald Trump has been “sentenced to death” by the Korean people, North Korea’s state media has reportedly said.

According to the Guardian, the Rodong Sinmun newspaper used an editorial to criticise the U.S. President for apparently insulting leader Kim Jong-un, saying Mr Trump was a “hideous criminal”.

Mr Trump has just finished a tour of Asia taking in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

He declared the trip had been “tremendously successful”, telling reporters: “I think the fruits of our labour are going to be incredible, whether it’s security of our nations, whether it’s security of the world or whether it’s trade.”

But Rodong Sinmun reportedly focused on the alleged ‘insult’ by the U.S. President of Kim Jong-un when he denounced North Korea’s “cruel dictatorship” during in a speech in Seoul.

According to the Guardian, the editorial said: “The worst crime for which he can never be pardoned is that he dared [to] malignantly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership.

“He should know that he is just a hideous criminal sentenced to death by the Korean people,” it added.
