Donald Trump has shared another bizarre meme on Twitter, this time showing him gradually encroaching in a photo of Barack Obama, alongside the caption ‘The Best Eclipse Ever’.

The image, which was retweeted by the President, shows him becoming increasingly visible in a photo of Obama, until he is entirely covering the the ex-president.

The imagpicturee was originally posted by Jerry Travone, a self-proclaimed “Proud Trump supporter and pushback against liberalism.”

Travone’s Twitter feed shows him to be a vocal supporter of the President, with several tweets hitting out at left-wing activists and another accusing Bill Clinton of being a sexual predator.

Responding to the tweet, one user wrote: ‘This is actually correct. The Darkness of Trump has overtaken the brightness of Obama. The Sun is what gives us life and energy!’

Another wrote: ‘You’re pathetic and vindictive. Your administration is a failure. You don’t hold a candle in comparison to Obama’s success. Seek therapy.’

‘He RETWEETED this! So disgusting & vile @realDonaldTrump! Obama will always better than you’, another user wrote.

President Trump’s newfound penchant for retweeting has caused increasing controversy.

Earlier this month, the President retweeted a cartoon showing a train ploughing in to person with a CNN logo plastered over their face. It came just days after the attack in Charlottesville, when a woman was killed when a car allegedly driven by a White Supremacist rammed into a crowd of protesters.
