A supporter of Donald Trump who was pictured waving a political banner while on Splash Mountain in Disney World has been permanently banned from the park.

Dion Cini has been banned from entering Magic Kingdom after holding up a “Trump 2020” sign on Splash Mountain and waving a “Keep America Great” sign on Expedition Everest.

Posting a picture of him holding the sign on Facebook, Mr Cini wrote: "Trespassed from WDW for holding a Trump 2020 banner on Splash Mountain."

The picture included a Orange County Sheriff’s Office note which said that he was “trespassed from all Disney World properties.”

It said this includes, but is not limited to, theme parks, water park resorts and Disney Springs.

On Disney’s website, a list of prohibited actives includes unauthorised events, demonstrations or speeches.

It also bans the use of any flag, banner or sign for commercial purposes or to incite a crowd.

Mr Cini, a known supporter of President Donald Trump, carried out a similar stunt in September when he waved “Trump 2020” banner over Disney's Main Street Train Station.

Although he was initially banned after the incident, Disney later reinstated his annual pass.

Calling his stunt “Operation Flag Drop”, Mr Cini told WFTV that he wanted to test the park’s rules against using “any flag, banner or sign” to incite a crowd.

He said: “I wanted to actually abide by their rules, and not hold up a flag to incite a crowd, but I kind of wanted to test them.

"I just really wanted to find out whether or not it had to do with unfurling a flag, or what was written on the flag.”

Speaking to TIME, a Disney spokesman said: “Disney World welcomes all guests to enjoy our parks.

“However, demonstrations and the display of signs and banners are not permitted on the premises. We have previously reminded this guest about our rules.”
