Doncaster receives special city status as part of Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Aerial footage shows images of Doncaster's Minster, Town Center, Conisbrough, and Cusworth Hall. Doncaster, a town of 311,000 inhabitants, has just been granted the city status as part of this year's Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Other seven towns have received the new title. Doncaster made three previous attempts to obtain the city status. Mayor Ros Jones said that this constitutes a "huge honour".
