Dorset hotel evacuated after fire breaks out

A HOTEL at Sandbanks has been evacuated after a fire broke out this morning.

Multiple fire crews were called to the hotel in Banks Road, Poole at 8.40am after a fire broke out in a first-floor bedroom.

All the guests at the hotel have been accounted for and there are no casualties.

Appliances from Westbourne, Springbourne, Redhill, Poole and Hamworthy are in attendance.

In a post on social media, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “No road closures are in place but traffic will be slow in this area.”
